The Cranleigh Boutique is flying the flag for Cumbria once again, following the announcement it has been named the most romantic Hotel in the North of England, by the world’s largest travel site, TripAdvisor®. The travel giant has chosen its winners in the 2014 Travellers Choice awards for the most romantic hotels, with the Cranleigh Boutique placed in the top 10 for the second year running. Unlike any other hotel honours, TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards are based on millions of valuable reviews and opinions from travellers around the world.
The commendation comes just one week following the announcement of the Cranleigh’s nomination in the ‘Best Use of Social Media’ category at the national Travel Marketing Awards, one of the most credible events in the travel industry calendar; and just two weeks following the hotel’s declaration of a record number of marriage proposals over the festive period. With Valentine’s Day just weeks away, TripAdvisor’s endorsement is appropriately timed.
“We are delighted to, once again, be placed in the top 10 romantic hotels in the UK and No. 1 in the North of England by TripAdvisor®,” said owner Stephen Hargreaves. “2013 was an incredible year for us and 2014 has gotten off to a flying start! We are all about creating a romantic, special and unique experience at the Cranleigh and the most important thing is that this has been acknowledged by the couples staying with us. The Lake District is a very romantic place and we have successfully replicated that romance inside too.”
