Based on Instagram hashtags and most liked images, the research sheds light on the places most couples choose to mark their engagement – or indeed, the places to avoid if you're looking for somewhere more unique.
Following almost two years of lockdowns, rules and restrictions associated with the pandemic, there has been a surge in people looking to pledge their commitment to their significant other.
While searches for engagement rings for women have increased by 250% since 2020, searches for ‘how much should I spend on an engagement ring’ have increased by 350%.
