Monsoon unveils one-of-a-kind ‘Wedding Weather Calculator’

A new ‘Wedding Weather Calculator’ is available thanks to 86 years worth of Met Office rainfall data
Every bride gets anxious about the weather when planning for their perfect weather. To help give UK brides the best possible chance of a dry wedding, high street retailer Monsoon has analysed 86 years worth of Met Office rainfall data to predict the best and worst days of the year to hold your wedding.
Newly-engaged couples can now utilise this one-of-a-kind ‘Wedding Weather Calculator’ to help them decide and set that all-important date more easily, as it highlights the driest days of the year.
According to the data, April is the driest month of the year for the UK as a whole, averaging a daily rainfall of just 2.29mm; for brides serious about avoiding adverse weather, April 15th is the UK’s driest day. Conversely, the most popular summer wedding month – August – has the highest daily rainfall out of all the spring and summer months.
For anyone planning an autumnal wedding, the data suggests that November is the month to avoid, with an average of 3.84mm of rain per day. The rainiest day of the year is also in November; on the 11th, a massive 4.96mm of rain falls on average.
To use the calculator, couples simply select their potential wedding date and which part of the country they’re looking to tie the knot. The calculator will then share the percentage chance of rain, as well as further information on the driest day that specific month.
