Midlands couple hire ROBOT wedding photographer
09 Apr 2019
Would you hire a robot wedding photographer for your big day? One happy couple did just that
Launched in February 2019 by servicerobots.com, Eva the Robot Photographer has made her wedding debut.
Playing a starring role in Gary and Megan Barker's big day at Wroxall Abbey Estate in Warwickshire, Eva snapped away throughout the wedding and became a talking point among the guests.
Groom Gary said: "This was a fantastic addition to our day and our guests are still talking about it. Eva went down a treat and really got people involved. It made a nice change from the normal photo booths."
Eva uses facial recognition technology to recognise guests before asking if they would like their photo taken. The interactive colour screen allows guests to choose from a wide range of photography options before the photograph is taken. The image can then be printed off instantly at a nearby photo printing station or uploaded to a social media platform of the guest's choice.
In an age of interactive photo booths and selfie stations, Eva the Robot Photographer could become a popular fixture at weddings.
A company spokesperson for servicerobots.com said: "People are less interested in traditional photo booths. They are looking for something new and memorable that will really make their event stand out. None of the guests at this wedding will ever forget their first encounter with a robot photographer and it will provide the happy couple with a lovely reminder of their special day."
Eva is just one of servicerobots.com's robotic additions for weddings and events and can be bought or hired. For more information, visit servicerobots.com.
