Maria Senvo breakdown the new season bridal trends

With everyone talking about the newest trends due to an entire manic month of fashion weeks, it’s easy to forget about this season. So with the days getting warmer and peak bridal season fast approaching, the design team behind Maria Senvo, couple in life and in work Holly Cuthbert and Ryan Wilkinson, are reflecting on SS14 bridal trends in a designer style report introducing their debut Fifteen Collection.

1) Texture

For the new season, different fabrics are combined to generate an interesting silhouette that speaks on various levels. As seen in the Maria Senvo Fifteen Collection, intricate beaded bodies adorned with creamy pearls and delicate crystals are paired with heavy crepe chiffons and layered tulle bodies creating a combination that is altogether interesting for 2014.

2) Streamlined

After traditional silhouettes have dominated the market, the new season sees a fresh take on shape with slimline paired down styles fast becoming the sought after look for brides-to-be. Maria Senvo have spotted an opportunity inelegantly designed bridal gowns made with the new generation in mind with elongated lines taking centre stage inthe debut collection pieces.

3) The Sleeve

As strapless styles fade into the distance, the sleeve comes centre stage for the current season as elegant shapes combine with sultry details. The Maria Senvo team have paired long and bracelet sleeve lengths with dropscoop back detail for an instant fashion forward take.

4) Back Detail

With an ever increasing eye on detail, the back of a gown has become a focus for designers in the current season. Razor sharp lines teamed with a plethora of textures make the back detail of a bride even more enticing. Maria Senvo gowns house a covetable collection each with elegant back detail.
