From a bag full of human hair to a samurai sword, here are the 20 strangest things ever left behind in a PremierVillas.net honeymoon property
Luxury accommodation company PremierVillas.net has revealed the 20 strangest things ever left behind in its honeymoon villas. The discoveries, which include a stuffed baby elephant and a shrunken head amongst other things, were made while cleaning the villas after guests have left for the airport.
The top ten strangest finds are as follows:
- A stuffed baby elephant
- A bag full of human hair
- A shrunken head
- Signed copies of all of Julio Iglesias’ albums
- Plaster casts of different women’s breasts
- Ventriloquist dummy
- A samurai sword
- Five copies of Stephen Fry’s autobiography
- A set of Princess Diana memorial cups
- A full box of Cuban Cigars
These items have been found in properties in Portugal, Mallorca, Turkey, Greece, and Italy. Although employees have attempted to return the majority of the items back to their rightful owners, many were unresponsive or did not request the items to be returned, so the items were logged.
Managing director Simon Jennings said: “We’ve been doing this a long time and some of the things we’ve found are just extraordinary. It’s interesting to see what kind of things people bring with them on holiday, and it can certainly be a hilarious moment when we do find certain things! We keep a tally of all items that are left behind, however most are things like chargers, towels and socks.
“It’s unsurprising that people were unresponsive when we tried to return the items listed above, and I doubt they’ll be getting in touch to retrieve them any time soon.”
