Weight loss expert Steve Miller helps fat families improve their lifestyles and eating habits – Bride asked Steve for his top tips for brides and grooms-to-be on the path to wedding day weight loss.

1. Mood Boards
Place wedding mood boards around the house that motivate you to lose weight. This may include photos of the wedding venue, pictures of your dream dress or even just inspirational quotes. They will act as reminders for the goal you want to achieve.

2. Tape Measure
Have a tape measure taped to the wall. As each inch drops from your waist, celebrate it by cutting off the corresponding amount from tape measure. Having these small victories to look forward to will make a huge difference on your weight loss journey.

3. Playlist
Make a playlist of all of the tunes you want to dance to on your wedding day, then go for brisk walk twice a day listening to it. This will elevate your motivation as well as getting your heart pumping on a regular basis.

4. Imagine the big day
Gain control over your food by imagining your big day fat and frumpy, then immediately compare it to an image of yourself looking gorgeous and slim at the wedding. Mentally affirm slim as the winner.

5. Get blogging
Write a blog on your weight loss journey to wedding bliss and focus it on your actions to being slim and gorgeous on your special day. Documenting your progress is a really useful exercise, as it will make you feel in control of your weight loss.
