What other cities have made the top 10?
A recent study by Gateshead-based hen and stag company, Last Night of Freedom, has revealed the most popular places for a hen party this year with surprising results.
Comparing the sales of its weekend packages in 2017, Last Night of Freedom found that for the first time in four years Liverpool has beaten Manchester to claim the title of the North West's most popular hen party city.
With its ever-popular hen party haunts such as Concert Square, Liverpool Tate and The Beatles experience, Liverpool offers both colour and character that increasingly seems to strike a chord with bridal parties looking for an unforgettable hen party destination.
Interestingly, eight out of the 10 hen party hotspots were UK towns and cities suggesting that the stay-cation continues in popularity.

Matt Mavir, managing director of Last Night of Freedom, said: “It’s great to see that cities like Liverpool and Manchester are appearing more on our lists. The fact that people are choosing to stay in the UK over going abroad means a boost to not only the city’s economy, but its reputation as one of the top destination for groups to go."
In stark contrast, more stag parties are opting for eastern European cities than ever before. Formerly popular UK stag do cities such as Nottingham, Liverpool and Bournemouth are now being replaced with the likes of Prague, Budapest and Amsterdam. Here's the top 10:
