If you are seeking a 1940s theme for your wedding, look no further than Kent's 'Salute to the '40s' festival
Couples looking for a 1940s-themed wedding can now apply to wed at Kent's vintage festival ‘Salute to the '40s’.
Taking place on from the 17th-18th September at the Chatham Historic Dockyard, this year's event is sponsored by BAE Systems Rochester and Wargaming.net's World of Warships.
Now offering the chance for couples to legally marry, the festival delivers the perfect setting for a wedding that embraces all things vintage. From '40s themed street parties and live music from the era, to swing dancing and a Spitfire aircraft display, the celebrations will be endless.
Two locations at the festival are poised to conduct ceremonies; couples can choose from the Commissioner's House with its manicured lawn or aboard the HMS Gannet (1878).
The Courtyard Vintage Fair and 1940s village fete provide nostalgic touches, while No 1 Smithery Courtyard invites ladies and gentlemen to enjoy a vintage styling experience. The last day will see a 'Finale Sing Song' on the Spitfire Stage, led by The London Swing Orchestra.
