Before their grand Italian wedding ceremony, Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker eloped to Las Vegas, demonstrating how the City of Sin continues to prove popular for weddings among A-listers. However, it's not just the rich and famous that can enjoy a Las Vegas wedding.
Known as the Wedding Capital of the World, Las Vegas strikes a chord with a variety of couples; from those looking for a fun and fast wedding with no frills, to others seeking luxury and a lavish celebration. However, if your wedding budget can't stretch to a plane ticket, why not consider a Las Vegas theme for your UK wedding instead?
It's a wedding theme that will never go out of fashion with its bright, colourful and instantly recognisable characteristics. So, if Las Vegas holds a special place in your heart, here are a number of ways you can incorporate it into your wedding.
Choose your colour scheme
Red or black? The most obvious colour scheme for a Las Vegas-themed wedding is red and black, centred on the innumerable casinos located in the city. Alternatively, you could opt for a more classic colour scheme of gold and cream, or bright and bold colours to resemble those featured in the 'Welcome to Las Vegas' sign: blue, yellow and orange or red.

Make your signage pop
When you think of the bright lights of Vegas, neon signs are a staple. Colourful and contemporary, neon signs in and around your venue will really make each area pop and provide bold statements at every turn.
Top your cake accordingly
The Las Vegas welcome sign is a favourite cake topper for a wedding cake of the same theme. There are various online retailers which can create a personalised version of the sign, and you could even opt for figurines depicting you, as the happy couple, underneath.

Hire an Elvis impersonator
For entertainment that is stereotypically 'Vegas', an Elvis impersonator is the perfect option. Not only will the impersonator delight the older guests with nostalgic renditions of Can't Help Falling In Love and Always On My Mind, they will also keep the younger crowds entertained with up-beat classics such as Blue Suede Shoes and Jailhouse Rock.
Create your own casino
Find a local supplier who can provide a casino set-up and introduce games such as Roulette and Black Jack into your evening entertainment. Provide your own personalised Poker chips featuring your marital surname or yours and your partner's initials. You could even go as far as issuing fake dollar bills or drinks tokens personalised with your faces, available from a number of online retailers. And when the games get underway, remember: what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.
Place your bets
Place settings are a great way to add Las Vegas-inspired details to your day. From napkins folded to resemble a shirt, to a hand of cards at each guest's seat, there are various ways you can make reference to your wedding theme. For your favours, consider personalised dice or packs of cards to further echo your theme.

Consider centrepieces and table names
Supersized martini glasses sprouting flower arrangements, opulent feathers or dangling crystal chains will create a celebratory set-up straight out of Sin City. Table names could be based on popular Vegas hotels, such as Caesar's Palace, The Bellagio and Mandalay Bay.
Set up a tattoo station
Vegas is renowned for its tattoo shops, so consider setting up a station during the wedding day where guests can receive a temporary transfer. Not only will younger guests enjoy getting inked up, but adults will also delight in a tat or two as darkness falls.
Rent a supercar
Make an exit from your ceremony and an entrance to the reception in style with a super car that wouldn't look out of place on the Las Vegas strip. A canary yellow or pillar box red car will instantly stand out and make for eye-catching wedding photos, decorated with a 'Just married' wedding sign for the finishing touch.
