The perfect setting for a magnificent wedding

Set in over 500 acres of historic parkland, Hylands Estate now offers the best of both worlds; a spectacular Grade II* listed Georgian mansion with meticulously restored period rooms, and our new Grand Pavilion to accommodate up to 300 guests.

A range of celebration spaces presents the perfect setting for intimate gatherings or lavish receptions. The venues overlook landscaped gardens and parkland beyond, providing romantic settings for a couple’s special day. The banqueting room is extravagantly decorated in a neo baroque style, with a French marble fireplace and floor to ceiling windows. The room provides a stunning space for wedding parties.

The spectacular new contemporary Grand Pavilion allows, for the first time, to accommodate up to 300 guests. The pavilion offers the latest in style and sophistication with state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems and creates an impressive space for ceremonies and receptions.

Ceri Lowen, Hylands Manager, is delighted with the new Grand Pavilion. She says: “We’ve created a very modern space that sits perfectly next to the grandeur of Hylands House. The pavilion is ideal for large wedding parties and can be used alongside the more traditional rooms in the house for wedding ceremonies.”

Hylands also offers quiet garden spaces and extensive parkland allowing the bride and groom to choose beautiful backdrops to capture their big day.

Whatever kind of wedding celebration, the team at Hylands offers exclusivity on all bookings and are completely committed to creating the perfect wedding day. To find out more, visit www.chelmsford.gov.uk/hylands, or call 01245 605500.
