Partying: Shake your booty to the best beats around - just make sure you do it Vegas style. This year, the heat on the Strip is all about the nightlife. From the pool to the pavement,Vegas nights are sizzling like never before. Recommended clubs include boutique club ‘Blush’, at the hyper hip Wynn hotel and one of Paris Hilton’s favourite hangouts,‘LAX’ at the Luxor. Alternatively, check into the celeb packed Hard Rock Hotel with its wild poolside scene and legendary club - ‘Body English’.

Best for: Bling-tastic bacholerettes with stamina.
Partying: Welcome to a charismatic city made all the more vibrant thank to its 2008 European Capital of Culture status. The nightlife there has long been legendary but a whole raft of stylish new developments mean that it’s now the place to party. Down on the Albert Dock you’ll find some of the city’s hippest bars including Circo, Babycream and Gusto, while Victoria Street is one long stretch of smart lounge bars like the Living Room. Go up the hill towards the cultural quarter, and you’ll discover the famous Philharmonic pub with its lovely men’s loo as well as the uber chic Geisha bar.
Shopping: While the much hyped Liverpool ONE offers more than 60 famous high street stores, ultrahip fashion brands and cool independent shops, Cavern Walks still retains most of the city’s designer boutiques, including Cricket, Drome and Vivienne Westwood.
Best for:WAG-wannabes in Westwood.
Partying:You’ve unwittingly turned into Bridezilla, so you may as well go the whole hog and throw the ultimate prewedding soiree, courtesy of bridal-parties.net. Enjoy an exclusive cocktail party at one of the big smoke’s beautiful boutique hotels, whilst pre-viewing the designers, vendors and services handpicked to help you keep your creative cool come ceremony time. Ruthlessly efficient it may be, but after a couple of Bellinis, your mates won’t mind... too much.

Best for: Time poor professionals who want the best over Bolly.
Partying: The nightlife in Barbados ranks among the highest in the Caribbean. And no wonder - there is no shortage of bars, clubs and rum retailers on the island. For live music, we love Lexy’s in Holetown, a cabaret bar run by Broadway performer Alex Santoriello. But for some beach front fun, you can’t beat Mullins or Harbour Lights.
Shopping: Disappointing - unless you’re into overpriced shell ornaments. Make better use of your time on the beach, topping up your tan, drinking rum cocktails and flirting with the luscious locals. Then, catch up on all the girly gossip by the pool of your super luxe Royal Westmoreland villa.
Best for: Beach babes who want to chill out and enjoy the sun, sea and upmarket social scene.
