Due to the recent coronavirus restrictions on the number of guests allowed at weddings, many couples are opting for a low-key ceremony with close family before scheduling a larger celebration next year - this means that, as brides are becoming reluctant to spend thousands on a dress for a 15-guest ceremony, many are looking at budget friendly or rentable options.
With prices starting from just £10, featuring brands including ASOS, Lavish Alice and Keepsake The Label, Hirestreet is ideal for those looking for something special to wear while saying 'I do' in the current covid-19 climate or if you are planning an elopment / destination wedding.

Another interesting bridal trend which has continued from 2019 is the lust for two wedding dresses - one for ceremony and one for evening - with brides choosing a more traditional or conservative dress for their vows and then changing into a sparkly or shorter wedding dress for the reception. However, with the average price for a wedding dress reaching up to £1,400 in the UK (2019), buying two can be out of the question for many couple's budgets.
The introduction of hiring or renting bridal dresses allows brides to have two or even three wedding dresses.
Hirestreet founder, Isabella West, says: "We want to empower our customers to feel amazing at every opportunity. Whether its providing a wrap dress for their first date, or an evening dress for their wedding day - it's incredible to be part of these moments with them.
“Over the summer we launched a lockdown bride initiative where we sent complimentary outfits to brides in our community on what would have been their big day. We then started to understand more about the stress that many of these women had faced over the past few months and our new collection is just another way to help support them. We hope that these dresses make our brides feel a million dollars at the same time as saving them a significant amount of money by renting instead of buying."
