Hen and stag organisers repeatedly left out of pocket

It has been revealed that a third of hen and stag do organisers are not getting paid back by their fellow party-goers
Social payments app, Circle, has discovered that a staggering amount of hen and stag do organisers are left out of pocket following the respective celebratory send-offs.
The study, conducted in collaboration with YouGov, surveyed more than 2,000 UK adults and found that a third (36%) have found themselves paying for more than their fair share.
With the average hen and stag do spend totalling £145 per person, the research also unveiled that for one in 10, hen and stag do related money matters have caused arguments.
For four out of five (81%) hen or stag dos, best men or maids of honour will pay for things in advance – averaging £204 – with 7% spending over £500. But more than a third (36%) of those who organised pre-wedding send-offs have been left feeling the pinch, with an average of £53 not being paid back.
1 in 10 (11%) millennials who organised hen or stags found it time-consuming to be paid back, and 9% said it was awkward to ask to be paid back all the money owed.
The Circle app avoids this problem by providing a platform which collates multiple payments from multiple users into one central pot. For further information, visit www.circle.com.
