The Grace Loves Lace new capsule collection, titled ‘Bisou Bisou’, features all-new renewable fabrics, eco elements and intricate craftsmanship.
The May 2022 capsule includes two signature gowns and a statement embellished veil. Founder and creative director Megan Ziems said that the influence behind the new collection was the modern bride.
“When I started Grace Loves Lace over ten years ago, I was on a mission to pioneer a new and exciting way of doing bridal and to revolutionise the whole bridal shopping experience,” explains Megan. “I find it so inspiring to see couples in this post-Covid world moving away from what is considered a ‘normal’ wedding and opting for elopements, whirlwind weddings and designing a day that is authentically them.”
Both gowns join the brand’s staple of ready-to-wear products and are available to order online and in showroom, giving brides the total freedom to get married wherever, whenever and however they want. The capsule collection introduces a new fabrication in the Valentina gown, providing a luxurious and innovative silk alternative, while the Carmen gown features recycled elements and offers a vibrant new silhouette.
The Valentina dress (pictured left in main image, £1,600) features a liquid-like double layer satin draped on the bias, a thigh-high split, flattering pleated bust with extra hidden support and a back tie providing multiple styling options. The dress is crafted from a natural and renewable fabric made from wood pulp, providing a luxurious silk alternative with a pearlescent finish.
The Carmen dress (pictured right in main image, £1,600) features intricate design elements with curved panelling over the hip and an asymmetrical split. The gown is made from silk chiffon and features a defined square neckline with thicker straps that offer support for all bust sizes. Sustainable elements of the gown include the recycled lining, eyelash trim and buttons.
In addition to the gowns, ‘Bisou Bisou’ also introduces the statement Celestial Veil, which is £430. This 280cm handmade ivory tulle veil is embellished with 139 glass crystals, all individually hand-sewn.
The dresses from the ‘Bisou Bisou’ collection are available in sizes XS to 2XL, available exclusively at graceloveslace.com and at the brand’s 22 international showrooms.
