There has been a distinctive shift in trends for bridal wear for 2013, with the best designers paying homage to the past when nothing short of high glamour and stunning elegance would do. The release of Baz Luhrmann’s film The Great Gatsby this year will play its part, reminding us of the beauty of the 1920s era-gowns, with dropped waists, luxurious embellishments and bejewelled hair accessories. This 1920s style gown by Jenny Packham emulates this style perfectly.
However, for a more traditional look, choose a beautifully-cut gown that drapes at the feet and includes lace detailing or handcrafted embroidery, like this strapless gown by Sassi Holford.
Whatever look you’re striving for on your big day, our online gallery of images will be sure to inspire you.
