Struggling to decide what to give your guests to remind them of your wedding day? You’ve organised the décor, food, flowers and now you’re tasked with gifting your guests something they’re guaranteed to enjoy and keep as a memoir while keeping to your budget – it’s a challenge to say the least.

The family-run Wessex Distillery is now making their multi award-winning gins available to quite literally add a sweet (excuse the pun) personal touch to your wedding favours. Based outside Godalming in the Surrey Hills, they use only premium ingredients sourced from the countryside and their gins are made with fresh botanicals. And if that wasn’t impressive enough, they were shortlisted for UK Gin Distillery of the Year 2020 by the International Wine and Spirits Competition, so you can be certain you’re providing the highest quality English gin for you and your guests.

“We don’t cut corners on our gin. If we’re not happy to drink it, we’re not happy to sell it,” says Amy Clark, distiller at Wessex Distillery.

Here, Amy gives three reasons why their bespoke gin bottles are the answer to all your wedding favour needs:

Miniature keepsakes
What could be more perfect than a personalised wedding favour your guests can enjoy both during and after the celebrations? Wessex Distillery is offering 5cl custom mould bottles, adorned with personalised labels with both the couple’s and the guest’s name, as well as the date of the ceremony. You’re allowed up to 20 characters underneath their logo and a font colour of your choice. It’s the ideal keepsake gift for long after the party’s over and can be used as a decorative memoir for the home.

As if this wasn’t tempting enough, the Distillery are throwing in a free 70cl bottle of their best-seller classic London dry ‘Alfred the Great’ with your name on when you order over 100 5cl miniatures. There is no minimum order number and they offer quick turnarounds – all you need to do is fill out a spreadsheet of your guest’s names and they’ll take care of the rest.

You choose the flavour
You can’t go wrong with gin, especially with a variety of dry and flavoured types to pick from. Whether you prefer a dry and smoother tasting gin like the ‘Wyvern’s Classic Gin’ at 47 per cent (the Distillery’s favourite), or a pink gin like their ‘Rhubarb and Ginger Gin’ which has been relaunched in time for summer by popular demand, you can be certain there’ll be a flavour to suit your tastes. ‘Saxon Garden’ (which won silver at the London Spirits Competition 2021) offers a more delicate, floral-inspired recipe to be paired with fruity tonics, while their ‘Sicilian Lemon and Ginger’ is the perfect touch of sweetness for a summer wedding, made with fresh lemons from Sicily.

Colour themed table décor
Sizing up to 70 cl, the larger gin bottles make ideal table décor and you can use them to number your tables. With a variety of eight coloured glasses, you can choose whatever colour you wish for both miniature and larger bottles to match the theme you’ve chosen for your celebrations.
