YOUR CARRIAGE AWAITS
For a true fairytale arrival, consider hiring a horse and carriage. As you clip-clop your way to the ceremony heads will definitely turn! For a real Cinderella vibe a glass carriage could be the way to go.
CLASSIC CAR
One of the most popular choices for wedding cars is the Rolls Royce Phantom. Other elegant and traditional options include Bentley’s, Jaguars and Daimlers.
VINTAGE VEHICLES
VW camper vans are popular with car lovers and surfers alike, but consider other vintage options too. You might also have a family member able to drive you in their vintage vehicle – my grandad drove my cousin to the church in his Austin 7.
ON THE BUSES
It might be a bit big for just you and your dad (but not unheard of) but think about hiring a double decker bus as your wedding transport. It’s also the perfect way of taking your guests to and from the reception venue, especially if there’s little parking available.
UP, UP AND AWAY
An arrival by helicopter whether at your reception or church will really create a buzz among your friends. The downside? You won’t be able to blame the traffic for a late arrival!
CELEB STYLE
Want to feel like a superstar or simply got a huge dress and posse of bridesmaids to accommodate, then a limousine is for you. A classic Lincoln or Chrysler stretch version is the most classy choice.
WATER ENTRANCE
Depending on where in the country you are getting married think about arriving by boat (the sea, or at least a lake need to be near by really). Sailing into your ceremony with a gentle breeze rusting through your hair could be totally romantic. On the other hand if the water’s choppy and you’re seasick, maybe it’s not the option for you.
WALK
If your church and venue are within walking distance of each other then why not do just that. It’s cheap (well free!), ecologically sound and imagine the cheers you’ll get from passing motorists – and the photographs too!
