With branches in Spitalfields (London), Soho (London), Exeter and Bath, fried chicken restaurant chain, Absurd Bird, has made an interesting proposal to those looking to pop the question.

Couples can now propose at one of the four restaurants with a specially crafted fried chicken ring, and the restaurant will even cater for your wedding - for up to 100 guests - if you get down on one knee while dining in.

The Absurd Bird Deep South Fried Wedding Ring made from chicken or a humble onion ring, comes adorned with the jewel of winter (also known as pomegranate) or a cherry tomato.

With Christmas as one of the most popular times of the year to propose, diners will have until Christmas Day to take advantage of the generous offer.
