Flowers will always have their place in any wedding set-up, and florals are no longer limited to the bride's bouquet. Flower crowns, wreaths, hoops, garlands and abundant table displays are putting a couple's choice of flowers centre stage on their special day.
The demand for flowers has even infiltrated bridal fashion, with a host of bridal designers adding to their collections with floral prints and patterns.
South African bridal designer Elbeth Gillis says: "Floral wedding gowns have become popular among brides searching for modernity with a twist. A subtle take on the floral wedding dress would be a traditional white gown bursting with botanical details. Daring brides will don dresses in colours to complete the blooming bonanza. Amp up any gown by opting for a multi-coloured floral print."
