Wedding entertainment doesn't stop at music; there is a world of talent out there waiting to be explored. Here are five entertainers guaranteed to raise a smile among your wedding guests
Wedding entertainment presents a whole host of possibilities and needs to be carefuly considered in order to keep your guests engaged all day long. Here are some ideas to amuse your audience during the quieter interludes of your big day.
For photo opportunities galore, hire a lookalike or two to amuse your guests. Lookalikes Magic (Gary Slade and Robbie Graham) are the Laurel and Hardy doppelgangers who perform close-up magic as well. Providing approximately three hours of entertainment, including their seen-to-be-believed fork illusion, they work closely with wedding coordinator, Susan Wakelin, in the North West of England.
Samsam Bubbleman and his team of bubbleologists promise a spectacle like no other. One for the children (and adults), watch in awe as the giant bubbles are manipulated in to supersized shapes... and can even be wrapped up around guests. The Bubble Inc team are 10-time Guinness World Record holders and have even performed at the 2012 Olympic opening ceremony. Previous wedding/anniversary bubble entertainment has been provided for the the Royal Family of Saudi Arabia, J.K. Rowling, Lily Allen and Ringo Star. Look out for Samsam's bubbles in Bridget Jones's Baby.
A unique way of capturing your special day, Ramsbottom-based The Wedding Painter – also known as Stuart Barkley, paints your wedding in real-time. Seting up his easel before the guests arrive for the wedding reception, Stuart sketches out the room and then when the bride and groom seat themselves, he paints the scene. Encouraging guest involvement with children adding the odd glass or knife and fork to the scene, Stuart then signs the artwork and leaves it on display for the evening.
Magic never goes out of fashion and guests of all ages will delight in an outstanding trick. Close-up magic is even more popular, offering nowhere for the professional to hide. Charles Creasey is a professional magician with 15 years' experience. A member of the Magic Circle, Charles was even responsible for making Ronan Keating’s wedding ring vanish aboard the prestigious Silver Sturgeon on the Thames.
Create lasting memories and fun for all your guests with a caricaturist. Pedro Art, a.k.a. Peter Brock, offers more than 25 years' experience, having drawn many celebrities and appeared on TV. Drawing around 60 guests in two hours, Peter provides black and white caricatures for guests to take home – the most personal form of wedding souvenir.
