Whether you’ve just got engaged or your wedding is approaching fast, spending a day at The National Wedding Show is well worth your precious time, so here’s how to make the most of it:
1. Ask yourself what you want to get out of the day
Are you at the start of your wedding planning journey? Then you’ll be looking for inspiration, so make sure you leave plenty of time to wander the show. You’ll find stationery, florists, table settings, venues, photographers and plenty more, and you won’t want to miss the chance to see the stunning catwalk shows with all the latest bridal trends.
But if you’re nearing the big day and need to make some important decisions, then check who’s attending the show on the website and get in touch with brands to see if you can make appointments with someone on their stand that day. It’s also a great idea to book a VIP ticket so you have space to relax and chat through your options with your bridal party – plus you’ll get perks like a goody bag worth £100 and a free drink upon arrival.
2. Bring all the gang
Nothing makes planning your wedding more fun than doing it with your family, friends, bridal party or husband-to-be. Decisions will become 10 times easier with their input right then and there, so make sure you bring the whole squad along for support and glass of bubbly in the champagne bar.
3. Get involved
DIY wedding workshops, bridal make-up tips, health and wellness experts, style advice... there’s a wealth of wedding know-how at the shows so you’d be mad not to take advantage of it. Check the website nearer the time and make a note of any talks or sessions you want to attend, then get to The Style Stage, Hitched.co.uk Wedding Planning Platform, Inspiration Lab or Entertainment Stage early to get the best seats in the house.
4. Don’t forget to enjoy yourself
Planning a wedding can be pretty stressful at times so don’t put too much pressure on yourself and remember that a day out at the National Wedding Show should be fun. The champagne bar is the perfect place to reflect on everything you’ve seen and toast to your upcoming nuptials, or if you book a VIP ticket, you can chill out in the exclusive Secret Garden and enjoy a whole range of perks.
5. Follow @NationalWeddingShow on social media
Not only is social media the best way to hear about exciting updates, new brands and features, but it’s also great for reminding you what’s going on whilst you’re at the show. Follow the National Wedding Show on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to get a head start on your day out.
Finally, take the hassle out of it all by getting the date in your diary, pinning down your friends and booking your tickets to your nearest show now. You can even save money and get standard tickets for £12 or VIP tickets for £30 by using the code ARCH17 when booking here*.
