Well-known in the wedding industry, Hazel’s career began over 15 years ago in hospitality. Currently, her eponymous consultancy provides wedding businesses, venues, and suppliers with targeted marketing, sales and PR support. Working alongside her as a co-organiser of Cornwall Wed Meetup is Jenny Wren, an independent wedding and event planner with 10 years experience in the field. She is proud to be the recommended planner for many venues in Cornwall and regularly contributes to bridal publications offering tips and advice on wedding planning.
The meetup gave wedding professionals the opportunity to learn from experienced guest speakers, network with other professionals, and build relationships that could generate sales and referrals in the future. Over 80 businesses attended the all-day networking event, which was headlined by keynote speaker Christopher Mills, CEO and Creative Director of The Events Mill. Other speakers included the Cornish-based editor of award-winning wedding blog Pasties and Petticoats, Donna Sharpe, and the CEO and founder of Cloud Legal, Yvonne Morris.

“The Wed Meetup events play a crucial role within the industry in Cornwall and Devon,” said Hazel Parsons. “Weddings are often fast-paced and time-sensitive: not the right environment to make a business connection. The Wed Meetups offer attendees the opportunity to actually connect and discuss how they can work together in a relaxed setting.”
The Cornwall Wed Meetup takes place twice a year, with the next event due to take place in November 2017. For more information about these events or to get involved, visit www.cornwallwedmeetup.com
