Find your perfect wedding dress at THE new bridal boutique in Kent

03 Jun 2019

If you’re a Kent bride looking for a modern and stylised approach to your bridalwear, find out more about brand new boutique Love in Lace

While the prospect of finding your perfect wedding dress is inevitably exciting, many brides struggle to know where to start. With so many options available, it can become overwhelming to determine the types of dresses you want to try on and the bridal boutiques you would like to visit.

Simplifying the search for a specific type of bride, Love in Lace is a brand new boutique near Edenbridge, Kent. Set amid picturesque countryside with beautiful views of the rolling fields beyond, the bridal boutique offers an exclusive space for brides and their bridal party to relax with a spacious viewing room and private dressing room.

The Love in Lace business concept has been created with the modern, style-conscious bride in mind. Echoed in the studio’s stylish interior choices which include luxurious velvet pink sofas, neon signage and breath-taking floral arrangements, the concept is reflected in the boutique’s choice of bridal designers.

Jack Sullivan, Modeca and Blush by Hayley Paige are just three of the designers stocked, with bridal separates, high quality fabrics and lace wedding dresses all central to the boutique’s portfolio. Love in Lace is one of the first UK stockists to work with Luna Willow and Vagabond Bridal and the business aims to discover fresh, new and exciting brands to grow and diversify the portfolio, providing brides with more choice.

Samples are available for brides to try on and Love in Lace’s recommended seamstress is based in Tunbridge Wells should brides require alterations. A selection of bridal accessories including wedding veils, hairpieces and capes are also on offer for the finishing touch.

Commenting on how the business concept came to fruition, Claire Martin-Quirk, owner of Love in Lace, says: “I have worked for multiple fashion retailers buying ladies wear and this has set me in good stead to understand the customer that we are appealing to at Love in Lace. I think people want to reflect their own style in their wedding dress and by finding the one you want to feel like the best version of yourself.”

Make a start

Brides looking to make a start in their search for the dress of their dreams should think about their day-to-day style, first and foremost. Claire continues: “Think about how you usually dress and your best assets, but be open to ideas and be prepared to be surprised by what you look great in.

“Use Pinterest and Instagram and do a lot of online research prior to your bridal appointment to get an idea. Think about how your outfit will look within your venue; a glamorous dress with a large train could be best suited to a lavish wedding in a castle, but a less formal and understated style would work perfectly for a relaxed wedding in a barn, for example.”

Bridalwear trends

Trends to take note of for 2019/20 weddings include chic and simple gowns – as accelerated by the royal weddings of 2018. “You can have beautiful quality fabric and keep your dress really classic and minimal.” Claire adds: “Interesting accessories are also on the rise such as statement earrings and textured veils. Highly stylised weddings with amazing floral displays and breath-taking décor perfectly complement a simple dress that works as a beautiful blank canvas to offset the details.” Textured lace, 3D appliqués, elegant low backs, and pearl embellishments are also key trends to consider.

The perfect wedding dress

During their bridal appointment, brides are recommended to try on a selection of styles and dresses that they may not have initially chosen; but how does a bride know when they have found the one? Claire advises: “When you put the dress on and you feel amazing and ready to get married. You feel beautiful, comfortable, and you can't wait for all of your family and friends to see you in it on your big day.”
