"If you asked me to choose my 100 favourite wedding photos, I would still struggle to narrow them down. Every wedding is special to me and every photo means something, even the late-night dancing photos. The photo I have selected as my favourite was taken in Tuscany. Knowing that this beautiful sunset would only last 10 minutes, I had to ask Victoria and Kelso to take a walk into this open marshland in between their main course and dessert. I love that they didn’t hesitate. That trust means everything and is why this photo is so special to me."

"It’s actually really tricky to choose a favourite to be honest, but as a Yorkshire wedding photographer who loves the countryside and everything it brings, this was one of my favourites of 2017. Here’s Suzie and Tim who married up in the Yorkshire Dales (Tour de Yorkshire territory). Tim is a massive cycling fan so when we headed off for some relaxed portraits down a country lane and were joined by some cyclists speeding past. It really couldn’t have had a better story to add to Suzie and Tim’s special day, so I love this shot for that very reason."

"Living in Sheffield has its perks as I am asked to not only shoot weddings in the Yorkshire Dales and Moors but I'm lucky enough to have the Peak District National Park on our doorstep too. The couple photographs are usually a small part of the day set aside just for the bride and groom and I love it when they want to explore this amazing countryside together during this allocated time, to be completely relaxed and free. This bride and groom really did let their hair down on a particularly blustery day. I absolutely love how her dress has been caught by the wind and the way she glances back to the camera."

"One of my favourite images from 2017 has to be this first dance shot from Victoria and Andrew's wedding. It's just so full of emotion and overwhelming happiness. They really were lost in the moment despite being the centre of attention in a guest filled marquee. It really does epitomise what I try to encapsulate with my photography; a moment, a feeling of something untouched and pure. My main aim is to be at one with all my couples so they feel not only at ease with being in front of the camera but so they feel relaxed from day one."

"I love capturing unplanned moments like this one at a wedding at Fixby Hall in Huddersfield. The groom was just expecting a group shot with his groomsmen, but they decided to pick him up instead and the faces they pulled really made it. I'm based near Huddersfield and shoot mainly documentary photos, with a few informal group photos, in Yorkshire, Manchester and the North. I photograph fun couples who want to show their personalities on their big day without being asked to do anything too posed and stiff."

"I have chosen this picture of the bride and a girl dancing as my favourite of 2017. I love the almost perfect beam of light shining on the bride and look of sheer joy on the girl's face as she is dancing. I’ve always loved old snaps of people (before the digital days) and I love trying to recreate that feeling of a timeless memory when capturing and editing an image. For me, this image - as with others, defines my business and the type of photographs I like to capture; just people simply having a good time and enjoying themselves which hopefully creates something they can look back on forever."
