16 Jan 2017
The finalists of the EDP Bride: The Wedding Awards 2017 have been announced and ahead of the red carpet ceremony at Dunston Hall on Friday, 27th January, we get to know them a little better
Sharen Fenn, owner of Cherished Lace - a finalist in the Best Wedding Stationery Provider category, answers our Q&A.

What geographic area does your business cover? I cover Norfolk and Suffolk.
How long has your business been running? The business was established in August 2013.
What does your business do? How does it stand out from the competition? The business creates handmade bespoke wedding stationery. I like to think that we stand out from other businesses because we have an old fashioned face-to-face approach to our business. There is no online ordering involved, every customer is met personally and each item of stationery created is unique to their particular brief.
Why did you enter the 2017 EDP Bride: The Wedding Awards? To be entirely honest, I entered the competition without taking it seriously because I never thought for a second that I would get past that stage.
What was your reaction to the announcement of your business as a finalist? When I was contacted to say that I was a finalist, I was speechless because I am such a small company and there are so many other talented businesses in the area. I feel like it is a very big compliment for me to have got this far.
What are you most looking forward to at the EDP Bride: The Wedding Awards ceremony on 27th January, 2017, at Dunston Hall? I am excited and nervous in equal measure at the thought of the awards because I am not used to big events but I am looking forward to meeting other wedding suppliers and watching some of our talented local businesses get the recognition that they deserve.
