Valentine's Day is just around the corner and in response to an increasing demand for engagement rings with an eco edge, Prestige Valuations' range of natural diamond engagement rings will satisy couples driven by sustainability.
Providing diamond and jewellery valuations to customers across the country, with offices in Manchester, Birmingham and London, Prestige Valuations has been in operation for the last 30 years.
Run by a team of experts with years of experience between them, Prestige Valuations' latest venture was to source the most environmentally sustainable, natural stones while reducing the carbon footprint of the collection.
Set in Fairtrade gold, the engagement rings feature diamonds that have been sourced from carbon neutral or negative mines, certified by the Gemological Institute of America.
A 0.5 carat engagement ring (pictured in gallery) is the first piece in the collection. Priced at £2,500, it showcases a diamond from Diavik mine in Canada, which boasts 'green' diamond mining practices.
Tim Belson, managing director of Prestige Valuations, says: “We really wanted to see what we could do to make sure our customers could get the most environmentally sustainable jewellery possible.
“Natural stones will always hold their value, because there will never be a convenient way to produce millions of carats of them. Also, by using only Fairtrade gold, we can ensure that not only are the miners treated well, but also the impact on the environment is minimal. Our rings are an investment in the future of the environment, and love.”
