eBay reveals a rise in wedding dress searches

17 Jan 2017

EBay has recorded a considerable increase in wedding dress searches as we enter 2017

Following a flurry of festive proposals and new year engagements, online marketplace eBay.co.uk has predicted approximately 1.7 million searches for the term 'wedding dress' in January and February.

With a broad range of styles, eBay currently has almost 30,000 current listings for wedding dresses and has recorded 17,000 dresses sold in the last three months alone.

And the search doesn't stop there. January 1st is listed as the most popular day to search for wedding invitations with more than 2,500 listings for wedding stationery on the site.

However, it appears that men are less likely to begin their outfit search early with men’s formalwear searches peaking in June - two months later than wedding guests, with a recorded 30,000 searches for guest outfits in April.
