Wedding planner Sabrina Gambato, Ti amo Ti sposo Weddings tells us about the couple's big day which took place in May 2019:
Tell us about the proposal:
Guiseppe went to visit Giedre family holiday house in Lithuania and made the proposal there on the lake - just as she has always dreamed about.
How did they choose the place to get married?
Santorini was their dream island, we chose one of the best venues on the island.
Did the couple have any special request for their wedding?
The atmosphere, the panorama, the aim of the couple was to give to their guests a three-day wedding in a special place where the couple and the guests could be relaxed and share time together.
How did you come up with the concept of this wedding?
Giedre and Giuseppe are an aesthetic driven couple, they wanted something simple but very stylish. To have a balance on the arrangements and give some intimacy to the entire event was not simple, as it was very easy to become too elegant and the couple would like to have something more dreamy and romantic and less elegant and formal.
How did this wedding change your career as a wedding planner?
It was a challenge to organize everything from Italy although I know Santorini very well, our network is very solid and we had the proof that connections do make the difference.
Were there any challenges for this wedding?
Distance could have been a problem, but has I said before the strong connections with some local partners made the difference.
Tell us a little bit about this destination:
Santorini is a dream Island and to organize a three-day event during the Greek religious holidays was a great challenge. We have been very lucky that some of our suppliers have worked during holiday time.
What traditions were part of this wedding?
We took some Lithuanian traditions, such as the Lithuanian bread to be shared at the beginning of the reception.
What was the most heart-touching moment for them?
The most heart touching moment was the exchaning of vows - the panorama was breathtaking and we were all very emotional about their dream coming true.
