Middleton Lodge was the second venue we looked at and we booked it immediately. It had everything we wanted, we could do everything in one place, have the whole place to ourselves for the weekend and the entire bridal party could stay.
We had the most beautiful weather on the day which meant we were able to get married outside. We had a very relaxed morning, the boys played cricket on the lawn and I got ready with my bridesmaids in the bridal suite. My amazing mum made the flower girl dresses and they really stole the show, they looked so gorgeous. We didn’t really want a ‘theme’ as such, but just wanted everything to look classic and elegant, which really suited the style of the venue. The flowers were entirely white, a mixture of hydrangeas and roses and we had black chair sashes and silver candles for the tables. For the evening entertainment we used ‘The Wedding Smashers’ who were fantastic and even carried on DJ-in at our cellar bar after party for free!
