Discounted high street wedding wear at an all time high

According to Lovethesales.com, high street retailers are offering greater discounts on more wedding wear than ever before
Following a poor perfomance last winter and with wedding season fast approaching, high street retailers are reducing more wedding gowns and bridesmaids' dresses than ever before.
Retail sales aggregrator Lovethesales.com has reported an extra 67% of bridalwear clothing being added to the sales, equating to a staggering 2,000 additional bridal clothing and accessories compared to this time last year.
The average price of a high street wedding dress has fallen by 36% already in March and the average discount of a bridal dress in the sales has shot up from 35% to 50%.
Phase Eight is the retailer driving the most bridalwear in the sales, discounting 57% more items this month already. One of the most popular dresses currently in the sales is the Carinne Bridal Dress (pictured) with a discount of 51%.
In contrast, the average price of wedding rings has increased by more than 60% since the beginning of March, indicating that full-price wedding items still have a place on the high street.
Stuart McClure, founder of Lovethesales.com, says: “It has never been a better time to buy bridal clothing. Already in March we are seeing retailers discount more than expected in a bid to attract shoppers early on into the wedding season.”
