Oxana Ruckhaber of Minster Bridal Boutique in Wimborne, Dorset, breaks down all the aspects of this stunning shoot at The Italian Villa in Poole.
The inspiration
To create fine art photography with Ann Aveyard and Minster Designs to use as inspiration for future brides. The bridal gown was especially designed and dyed in an ombré colour of dusky blue and grey. The idea of a bridal hat followed.
The venue
The Italian Villa at Compton Acres in Poole has the most beautiful gardens including Japanese gardens.
The flowers
The bouquet included ornithogalum, echiveria, ammi majus, rose sweet tacazzi, lisianthus, veronica, scabiosa stellatac eucalyptus niccoli, and pheasant feathers.
The hair and make-up
Tara chose soft grey hues on the eyes to create a romantic and dreamy feel that suited the style and colour of the dress. Hair was kept in a tradional bun by Laura, suitable for a hat.
The colour scheme
Dusky blue and greys combined with soft blush colours.
The dress and accessories
We used our own designed dress with a very low back and soft tulle straps. A small A-line tulle skirt was kept very full to create the romantic vintage look and modernised in colours of ombré blue and grey. The bridal hat was created by Sofia as inspiration for an alternative look.
