Having been a bespoke designer for 10 years, Claire Mischevani has decided to launch a collection of beautiful gowns, appropriately names – “Precious”.
Claire had her own boutique in Shrewsbury for nearly 10 years and is due to open a new showroom and studio in London at the end of 2011. Claire has won various awards over the years, including Designer of the Year 2005. Brides have been known to travel from all corners of the UK and the world for her bespoke service. It seems the word has spread far and wide, many gowns have been sent all over the world, for private clients, including various high-profile celebrities – which is an amazing tribute to her success.
In this time, Claire’s designs have been selected by fashion editors for Vogue, Tatler, and Grazia amongst others and her gowns frequent the pages of all the major bridal magazines.
The gowns are feminine and luxurious; the reaction is that ‘they are classic shapes with a modern approach in stunning fabrics’. The collection is based on her best selling silhouettes; ensuring brides have a range of flattering shapes to choose from in a wide range of beautiful fabrics. “Still commercial but with an unusual twist!”
The unusual and extremely desired elements to the collection are the full lace over dresses and detachable pieces, such as belts and shoulder detail, so that brides can completely transform their look throughout their special day.
“I feel that I have a different approach to some designers, as I deal with clients directly, in my own boutique. Therefore, I have a better understanding of what my stockists are dealing with on a day to day basis! I am looking to work with a small amount of exclusive stockists, not only to stock the dresses, but for them to also have the ability to make brides feel like they are receiving a couture service, as the would in my boutique.”
All gowns are made in the UK
