Thousands of brides-to-be, their grooms, mothers, bridesmaids and families braved the howling winds and torrential rain at the weekend to visit the 12th annual Bride: The Wedding Show at Tatton Park.

The show took place on the weekend of February 1-2 in a grand marquee at Cheshire’s iconic Tatton Park. With queues to get in as the show opened at 10am on both Saturday and Sunday, exhibitors were kept busy all day chatting to around 5,700 visitors throughout the weekend.

New for 2014 was the Inspiration Theatre, a dedicated marquee where speakers offered brides inspiration and advice on everything from making your wedding breakfast fun and memorable, vintage hair and make-up advice and tips on finding the perfect wedding dress, styling advice for the mother-of-the-bride and even a demonstration civil ceremony. Across the marquee packed with more than 150 local wedding industry professionals offering everything from wedding gowns to cakes, venue styling to photography and everything in between was the band performance area where visitors where kept entertained by a full programme from The Funky Doctors, Under The Covers, The Toni James Band and Manchester Sing Out Choir. Often with standing room only, Toni James saw the dance floor come alive thanks to one young visitor during her set on Saturday.

The highlight of the show for many though was our famous catwalk show which not only showcased some fabulous fashions for everyone from the bride to her mother, but also some funky dance moves and lots of laughs from the audience. One audience member was heard exclaiming ‘I want more’ as the finale commenced, while others were using ‘brilliant’, ‘amazing’ and ‘fantastic’ to describe the show.

If you missed Bride: The Wedding Show at Tatton Park this year, it’s back on January 31 and February 1, 2015. Keep an eye on www.theweddingshow.co.uk for tickets and more information.
