Caroline Atelier encompasses what a stylish upcoming designer is. Her styles are unique and fashion forward. Caroline’s influences mainly come from the glamorous women of the 1920’s and 30’s.
Introducing intricate beading was a part of the collection this year and using Mayfair Silks and Washed Marrocain Crepes were also a big feature. A Caroline Atelier bride would be a woman who is confident and wants to be a fashionable bride. Her signature styles are backless dresses with slim silhouettes.
Caroline’s mission is to fill a gap in the market by designing non-traditional wedding gowns for a contemporary bride. Her dresses are exclusively available to Louella’s Boudoir in Wimbledon, London and also from her Designer Studio in Kerry, Ireland.
After winning awards for her bridal in 2008, 2009, 2010 she hopes that this year she will take the coveted Irish Designer of the Year award which will be announced this September.
“Today I find that brides want to be different, not every bride wants traditional gowns and that is where my gowns fill the market. It’s amazing to win 3 awards in the past few years as I have only been in business for 5 years, so it’s a great achievement.”
Caroline is originally from Leeds in the UK and is currently living in Ireland but her work takes her to Europe as well. She also has her first ready to wear and accessories collection to be launched in January 2012.
