Cake International returns to Alexandra Palace for a second year
13 Apr 2017
Cake International, the sugarcraft, cake decorating, and baking show, is returning to Alexandra Palace from the 22nd to 23rd of April 2017
The internationally-renowned sugarcraft, cake decorating, and baking show Cake International is returning to the iconic Alexandra Palace for the second time to showcase some of the most jaw-dropping cake creations in the world. Taking place from the 22nd to 23rd of April, the event will feature over 100 remarkable exhibitors, as well as engaging workshops and demonstrations.
The centrepiece of the event will be a stunning life-sized bridal gown made of cake, created by sugarcraft artist Emma Jayne. Inspired by couture wedding dress designer Mak Tumang, the beautiful cake creation will reach over 5 feet 5 inches tall. As well as the outstanding bridal gown, Emma has created a life-sized cake model of Swan Lake’s Odette for the event.
This year’s show will also allow visitors to take a trip through decades of changing fashion at the high-end bridal boutique exhibit, which, at 15 metres long, will feature beautiful bridal gown styles from the 1900s to the present day alongside inspiring cake designs by an amazing array of cake artists.
Further show highlights will include round 2 of The Cake Off 2017, Chocolate Genie workshops, a series of free mini workshops called A Taste of Sugarcraft by Inspired Creations, and much more. Guests will have the opportunity to get up close to extravagant competition cakes, and discover the hints and tips needed to make their own masterpieces.
With a perfect combination of workshops, demonstrations, exhibits, and talks, Cake International at Alexandra Palace is set to be a must-visit show for cake decorating and baking fans this spring. For more information, visit www.cakeinternational.co.uk
