Relaunched this year as Bride: The Wedding Show, Bournemouth International Centre's new and improved annual wedding exhibition proved to be a huge success.

Local brides, grooms and their family and friends were met with inspiration, information and ideas for their big day - not least from the host of regional exhibitors who were on hand throughout the weekend. Bridal boutiques, florists, stationers, transport providers, venues, photographers and more turned out in force to assist couples while showcasing their products and services.

Mark and Carlie Palmer, owners of Bournemouth-based DJ company The Luvwed Group, commented: “A brilliant weekend, it’s been really positive and we’ve taken plenty of bookings already for wedding receptions. It’s been good to talk to other suppliers too.”

Samantha Benstead-Wright, owner of Poppies Florist on Wimborne Road in Kinson, Bournemouth was equally thrilled. She said: “It’s gone really well. We booked 20 consultations on Saturday alone. It’s been a very good opportunity to network with suppliers as well when we had a free moment. Brides have been interested in dusky pink and grey colours, lots of foliage and asymmetrical bouquets, mostly for 2020/21 weddings.”

Cake samples, show-exclusive offers and complimentary copies of Dorset, Wiltshire & Hampshire Bride magazine were readily available. Amazing competitions from the show's suppliers – including the chance to win your wedding photography from Libra Photographic – were also on offer during the event.

Fashion forward show-goers were enthralled by the choreographed catwalk show which has become synonymous with Bride: The Wedding Show events across the country. Bridalwear, menswear, bridesmaids' dresses and wedding outfits were all on display from businesses such as Brides of Winchester, Stephanie Frances Bridal, Mojgan Bridal, Gibb Menswear, All Aspects Wedding Services and Boutique at No 6.

Visitors were also treated to entertainment from Havana Percussion, Switch Saxophone Quartet, Double A & The Bay and Skylark Live Music who had audiences singing along in the café area, while Keysworth String Quartet performed in the foyer. Love was well and truly in the air, from beginning to end.

Rebecca Cutler and Alex McGowan from Poole who are getting married at The Italian Villa in August 2020 said: “It’s been amazing, we got loads done. We got several suppliers booked including Godminster, Absolute Fun Casinos, Primo Parties, ISmile Booth and Kathryn Deeley Wedding Stationery. We got way more done than we thought we would.”

Bride: The Wedding Show returns to Bournemouth International Centre from 22nd-23rd February 2020. Stay tuned to for further information.
