Featuring showgirls, live tribute acts and American-style dining, Viva Blackpool is known as the 'Vegas venue in the heart of Blackpool'.
Perfect for couples who wish for the fun and frivolity of a Las Vegas wedding without the long-haul journey, Viva Blackpool is also a well-known wedding venue. And - in response to the news that Thomas Cook has collapsed - the team have decided to offer use of their venue for free to couples who had booked a Las Vegas wedding for 2019 or 2020 through the travel agent, but whose plans have since been cancelled.
Licensed for civil ceremonies, Viva Blackpool can host both the ceremony and reception of up to 1,600 guests, with a dedicated wedding co-ordinator available to assist from the point of booking. The venue is also in walking distance of Blackpool promenade, ideal for photographs set against the illuminated seafront.
Martin Heywood, co-owner of Viva Blackpool said: “When we heard the devastating news about Thomas Cook, its employees and its passengers we instantly tried to think of a way that would make the unbearable news that little bit more bearable. We are an events and wedding venue that has that touch of Las Vegas at its heart, so what better way to support than to give couples that had booked their wedding in Las Vegas free use of our venue so they can still have their big day, Vegas style.
“It may not be the real thing," continues Martin, "but we can still help make wedding dreams come true and we would like to spread this message far and wide to reach out to those couples who have literally had their dreams shattered. Just give our team a call and we can provide the venue and even dress the rooms for you with a linen package to suit your theme and the obligatory red carpet arrival for any Vegas bride.”
Visit the Viva Blackpool website for more information or call the events team on 01253 297297.
