The main objective with bridal hair is to find the balance between looking the most gorgeous ever on your day and at the same time not making your wedding day photos date, - they should stand the test of time ( or at least a number of years!) remember just because you are getting married it doesn’t mean you have to have the standard, scraped back with tight barrel curls on top of you head look!
Retro hair is still going strong again this year, but don’t over do it with too much exaggerated over styling - big hair is still popular but try not to have too much going on at once. if you are going to go for retro hair up then try a roll on top which looks very elegant
Chignons are still very popular for both bride and bridesmaids, there are lots of variations of this style- neat and folded in and swept up at the sides or soft and flowing pinned up in sections.
You can always have a chignon off centre and more to the side which looks really effective.
Another favourite is ‘half up half down’ with a softer flow to it, add height at the crown for a glamorous look if you are wearing a tiara, or keep it simple with the design lower down at the back, dot flowers in your hair for a fairytale look.
Before your trial a good tip is to collect pics of hair styles you don’t think will suit you as well as styles that you like, this really helps a stylist. Also, both of you stand in the mirror and move your hair around whilst either one of you try’s to interpret a style you want to try.
