Dramatic Spring/Summer 2016 Coloured Wedding Dress Collection Unveiled
10 Dec 2015
Dubbed as a ‘regal masterpiece, Berta has revealed its SS16 collection for sophisticated brides.
The avant-garde collection made use of new materials and handcrafted beadwork, to achieve fresh styles and patterns.
The plunging necklines, low backs and ornate fabrics are not for shrinking violets, and are sure to inspire brides with a taste for embellishment.
The range is characterised by the use of new tones of colour – lots of nude, Champagne and dark ivory – many combined with silver appliqués and embellishments. To achieve a timeless, regal look, Berta combines elements in such as beaded boleros, tulle capes, beaded cathedral veils, and detachable dramatic tulle and lace trains.
The inspiration for this collection came mainly from 18th-century Western Europe in the aftermath of the French Revolution when women began feeling more confident, and started wearing clothing to emphasise their figures.
