Are hot vibrant colours making a move on the trend for pastels and the romantic, vintage look?
Soft and muted shades have been popular with romantic brides, but bright colours and strong shapes are popular once more, say Norfolk florists.
The florists who have taken over the clientele from The Yard Florists in the Wymondham area are reporting a new interest in hot and vibrant blooms from brides.
Mel Bolderwo and Kirsty Dobson, of the Secret Garden Florists, are welcoming the regular clientele from The Yard since it recently closed its doors.
The two florists have huge experience between them – Mel has been a florist for 24 years, working at The Yard and also at Petals in Norwich, while Kirsty has a design degree, worked in London as an interiors stylist and then moved to Norfolk where Mel trained her as a florist 10 years ago.
“We love romantic, vintage style weddings which are popular with our brides this summer. Recently we’ve also seen a lot of brides choosing hot, vibrant colours which we also love,” says Kirsty.
“We have a huge selection of glass vases, candelabra and hurricane lanterns for hire as well as offering a bespoke floristry service,” she adds.
They work from a workshop in Morley, near Wymondham, but are happy to visit brides for consultations.
