An open air styled shoot in Norfolk

What was the inspiration behind the shoot?
Sandie who I worked with on this shoot is always very much led by the taste and requirements of her clients. What inspired her to do this shoot was the love she has not only for the venue but for venue styling too. Wanting to showcase outdoor weddings and their full capabilities, was the main reason behind this styled shoot.

The venue
Hill Farm in Little Massingham is a brand new venue run by Sandie, owner of Mason’s Great Event Co. Set on 17 acres of private land it has been converted into a luxurious venue including accommodation to sleep 38 guests, who have the use of an indoor heated swimming pool and sauna. Situated on a deer park this is the perfect location for any couple that wants to be close to wildlife.

The flowers
The flower arrangements were in two styles. One showcased rustic/festival and was very colourful to match the showcase of the tipi and outdoor weddings. We then showcased sophisticated, elegant centrepieces with natural colourings in the marquee.

The look
We wanted to go elegant and sophisticated with the dresses, hair was to showcase simplicity of shoot itself and bring the outside in.

The décor
The style that we went for was contemporary in the marquee - sophisticated and high end with options. Keeping with the outdoor feel we wanted to showcase a festival theme also, with outdoor weddings becoming the ‘go to’ theme. We took inspiration from this and produced the splash of colour that took over the outstanding giant hat tipi.

The accessories
We used a selection of unique and bespoke handmade props in keeping with the natural, earthy styling of the shoot. These included rustic tables to candle holders.
