In the age of social media, where we are exposed to an inordinate amount of wedding inspiration, it is easy to become competitive with your wedding planning - striving to make your big day the best wedding anyone has ever seen. Don't try and be bigger and better than everyone else... dare to be different. Take a look at these unique ideas for a wedding attraction that your guests will love and will create amazing memories for years to come.
1. Christmas grotto
If your wedding falls in the festive period, why not make it even more celebratory with a Christmas grotto? Decorate it with Narnia-inspired details and host a wedding photo-booth and dressing up box inside. Take a look at this grotto which was set up in Selfridges (London) for inspiration.
2. Wedding wheel
A 'Wheel of Fortune' inspired attraction; a wedding wheel offers an exciting interlude during the wedding breakfast and will keep guests amused long into the evening.

3. Petting zoo
A fan of cute and cuddly animals? Set up a petting zone to keep the children (and adult) wedding guests entertained for hours. Farm-based wedding venues may offer this as an attraction anyway, with alpacas, donkeys and rabbits all parct of the package. Alternatively, hire a mobile petting zoo such as The Mini Farm. You can even take it one step further by hosting a unicorn petting zone - such as this Virginia couple. More unicorn wedding ideas here.

4. Candy corner
Don't just settle for a candy cart, hire a ferris wheel filled with sweets and Ferrero Rocher love heart too. Complete with light-up carnival LOVE letters and your candy corner will be the talk of the town. Sweeties (pictured below) is a supplier of sweet treats for weddings and covers East Anglia.
5. Balloon artwork
Encourage your guests to make you a work of art in the 'Splash Zone', featuring balloons filled with paint and attached to a canvas. Guests can throw darts at the balloons to create a contemporary painting like no other - it can even double as your wedding guest book.

6. S'mores bar
Food and beverage stations are a continuing wedding trend, inviting guests to get involved in the catering and create delicious drinks and dishes. A s'mores bar or toasted marshmallow station is the perfect idea for the evening party, providing guests with marshmallows and skewers (and biscuits and chocolate pieces for s'mores). To toast, you can set up your own s'mores bar with ethanol gel cans or better yet, a fire pit will add an authentic vibe. Check out your wedding venue's fire safety regulations beforehand. Let your creativity run wild and consider a taco bar or 'pimp my prosecco' station too.
