What was the inspiration behind the shoot?
The inspiration for the bridal shoot was twisted fairytale meets Mother of Dragons. I love Disney, Game of Thrones and alternative weddings, so why not mix them together?
Tell us a little bit about the venue and why it was chosen
I've always loved the ruined church at Tivetshall, it's been in my life since I was very young and I was even lucky enough to witness my auntie have a blessing there. It's got such history and would make a beautiful venue for an alternative wedding ceremony.
What did you choose for the flower arrangements?
We did not have flowers but beautiful dragon staffs instead, handmade by Boudica's Heritage.
What kind of look did you want to achieve with the make-up, hair and outfits for the brides?
With the bride in white we went for a Mother of Dragons look. Hayley's Hair put the bride’s hair into beautiful flowing braids which were topped off with a handmade sparkling crown by Nu Jewellery by Emma. Make-up by Lina Hallberg, was also Mother of Dragons inspired with a natural look.
For the bride in black we wanted to go for a really striking evil queen look, so make-up was beautiful dark colours and hair was in a gorgeous updo, topped off with a black sparkly crown to link the two brides together.
What was the thinking behind the décor for the shoot? How did you tie it all together?
We didn't need to decorate the shoot really as the ruined church was beautiful enough. It really ties into the theme of alternative brides.
What kind of accessories were used to create these looks and why?
Accessories used were handmade by Antonella Hall with her beautiful dragon staffs and black vine neck choker. The two crowns were handmade by Nu Jewellery by Emma
