All together. A wonderful Warwickshire wedding

Family and friends contributed to making the wedding of Robbie White and Stacey Lewis extra special

On average there is only one wedding a year at Honington Church so it was a very special occasion. My mum has wanted to make my wedding dress for years and that made it extra special; also my brother had just set up his own letterpress studio and we were his first clients. A few days before the wedding we were contacted by BBC Radio Oxford. Every Saturday they interview a couple before their big day. It was a unique experience and it was great to hear each other before the wedding.

Just before walking down the aisle I had my only cry of the day. It was a very emotional moment, knowing I was minutes away from marrying the love of my life. After the ceremony we had a 30-minute drive from the church, in a three-car convoy of Morris Minors with the tops down.

My family and I spent a long time making many decorations and favours, including table confetti created from the pages of Wuthering Heights (my favourite book).

The entertainment was something we wanted to make extra special and we hired a band called Ocasan who were incredible. They played an acoustic set while people chatted and ate canapés. During the meal one of the group played the piano and after the speeches the guests starting singing along and Everything I Do, by Bryan Adams, echoed around the room. The speeches were so much fun; my mum presented Robbie with a ball and chain in the middle of his speech. After dinner the band began their evening set, which was amazing.

The day was everything we had hoped for and more. Every person made our wedding day so special and it has set the bar extremely high for all our friends.
