We got married eight years after Rich proposed. We felt no rush and had our son, Charlie, now two, who was page boy for us. I always wanted a Disney-style dress and found my perfect gown in County Brides in Faversham.
My theme was ‘us’ and my colour scheme a deep purple. I carried my son as I walked down the aisle holding on to my dad’s arm. I couldn’t stop smiling and couldn’t wait to see Rich’s face when he finally saw me.
Arriving at the reception was exciting as my dad, Barry and step mum, Sara, decorated the hall without us seeing it.
My father-in-law, Robert Gamble, made our post box in the shape of our house in my wedding colours. Our cake was made by another friend, Donna Chiddington and I bought artificial flowers. We welcomed our guests with Bucks Fizz and had a DJ playing music in the background throughout the whole day. Our menu consisted of cold meats and salad, a traditional buffet which my cousin, Nicky Martin did for us as he’s a chef.
In the evening our first dance was to Hero, by Enrique, and then we both danced the night away with our friends and family.
