Focusing on the leading lady, this bridal shoot in Yorkshire showcases graceful elegance
Sophia Regan, Regan Creative, shares the details of this beautiful bridal shoot in Ossett, Yorkshire.
What was the inspiration behind the shoot?
I wanted to create some timeless bridal portraits. I wanted to capture some beautiful images, but I wanted them to be more than a 'point and shoot' job. I kept the styling simple and adjusted the lighting and contrast after the shoot.
Tell us a little bit about the venue and why it was chosen.
Heavens Above is in the Centre of Ossett town - it is a beautiful shop with incredibly friendly staff - their gown selection is exquisite.
What did you choose for the flower arrangements?
Seasonal blooms: dahlia, orange asclepius, peach roses, eucalyptus and grasses, pink phlox and gerberas.
What kind of look did you want to achieve with the make-up, hair and outfits for the bride?
I wanted the make-up to be glamorous, yet simple - the hair was also intended to look effortlessly elegant.
What was the thinking behind the décor for the shoot? How did you tie it all together?
I used the light furniture and natural lighting from the windows to create a very spacious feel to the images.
What kind of accessories were used to create these looks and why?
I used a ivory lace veil to complement the first dress which had lace detail. The second dress I hade diamanté detail on the sleeves, so I complemented this with a diamanté hairpiece. For the last dress I used a simple veil and a vintage headpiece by Pheather Sue in some shots.
