I believe three things are integral to beautiful wedding photography:

Clear communication beforehand, a stylistic meeting of minds, and simplicity.

Wedding photography is one of the pillars of your big day, but one that I feel must be carried out in the correct manner. Your wedding is about the love between the two of you, not being chased round and posing all day.

Imagine we are having a conversation. We can have hundreds of shots of that conversation, but I know which one to choose – the one where we connect on something, where we ‘click’, that is the shot. And these are the shots I am passionate about in my wedding photography. Not just shots ‘of’ people, but connections between people, the kind a viewer can relate to, and the kind of picture that makes you feel something when you look at it.

That is why I am there at your wedding, not just to stand people in neat patterns and record their attendance, but more importantly to ensure that your wedding photography gives you a feel for the atmosphere and personality of your wedding that you can keep forever.

In a meeting prior to your wedding, I will provide some simple tips with regards to how to place yourself for the most flattering shots. Simple things like not having your free arm dangling, how to avoid a double chin and so on, how to portray your natural beauty in a manner which translates well into your wedding photography. Together we will also establish the kind of shots you will prefer. I generally tend to take a ‘dignitaries’ list, of people who may be visiting from abroad, or family members who absolutely must be photographed. I keep group shots as quick, simple and happy as possible and for the rest of the event, your wedding photography is discreet and unobtrusive.

Whether I am shooting weddings, fashion, corporate material or any other style, the key is a good relationship with my subject, an awareness of my environment and adaptability. I will always visit your chosen venue/s prior to your wedding to ensure that nothing is left to chance on the day, and that the best places are chosen for certain shots, to allow this to take as little time on your big day, and get you back to your guests!

My job is to make your wedding photography beautiful, while allowing you to get on with having the time of your life. If you have any questions at all, simply drop me a line.

Best Wishes, and congratulations!
