A wonderful weekend at Bride: The Wedding Show at Tatton Park

05 Feb 2018

Mesmerising, magical and memorable, Bride: The Wedding Show at Tatton Park once again proved a spectacular event

Thousands of brides- and grooms-to-be recently descended on Bride: The Wedding Show at Tatton Park, eager to meet with local suppliers and plan their special days to perfection.

Celebrating its 16th year at the majestic setting of Tatton Park, the show offered a superior selection of wedding options and ideas including floristry, photography, venues, dresses, transport, décor, cakes, entertainment, catering and stationery. More than 150 exhibitors were in attendance, showcasing their products and services while offering their expert advice.

Thrilled with the response they received, the exhibitors were full of praise for the show. Sharron Masoura, wedding manager at Exclusive Yacht Weddings, said: “What a fabulous show at Tatton Park yet again – the eighth year running for us. Loads of leads to follow up, great organisation, and with high footfall.”

Maria Morris of Maria Morris Couture in Stockport, said: “We had a great weekend at Bride: The Wedding Show at Tatton Park, meeting lots of brides and their mums and booking appointments for us to create something fabulous for their big day. We enjoy the Tatton show because we are exhibiting alongside some of the best in the business.”

Feature sponsor Springbank Flowers, based in Manchester, decorated the entrance of the show marquee with captivating floral displays and further demonstrated the team's fine art approach to floristry at Tenants Hall. From supersize illuminated helium balloons and luxurious feathered archways to spell-binding table set-ups and beautifully imaginative centrepieces, Springbank's vision and execution was breathtaking to behold.

Visitors were also wowed by the spectacular tipi set-up from Tipi Unique outside the show venue, which featured ambient lighting, seasonal table displays and a fire pit. A lavishly dressed area by Mahood Marquees inside the venue also presented the captivating possibilities of a marquee wedding. Complete with dancefloor, the space served to replicate a wedding reception by hosting a stage where attendees enjoyed high octane performances from musicians and bands exhibiting at the show. Six15 Events also added to the party atmosphere in their dedicated area, which neighboured the champagne bar - hosted by The Prosecco Pot - so guests could sit back and relax in style.

Entertainment was further provided by the highly anticipated catwalk show, which paraded the latest fashions in wedding wear to an electric arrangement of music and choreography. This year, Cheshire Bridalwear, 7th Heaven, Maria Modes, J&J Designs, The Bridal Lounge, Knutsford Wedding Gallery, Nigel Rayment, Slater Menswear and Groom took to the runway with a stand-out selection of gowns, suits, bridesmaids' dresses and occasion wear.

Bride- and groom-to-be Diane Ho and Andy Clark from Wilmslow, who are marrying in July 2018, said: “It’s been great. All the exhibitors are local so any recommendations we’ve had beforehand, we’ve been able to go and see them. We thought we were just going to have a wander but we’ve found lots of suppliers – we’ve managed to meet some videographers and photographers face to face which is what you want, and also have some suit appointments booked. I think the meetings we have booked will definitely amount to something.”

Also enthused about what the show had to offer, Rochelle Barker from Manchester who is marrying in June 2019, said: “It’s been brilliant. It’s the first time I’ve been to a wedding show. There were some beautiful dresses on the catwalk and it’s given me ideas about what I want for my dress. We have plenty business leaflets to take home and think about.”

Actress Sophie Austin was also in attendance, ahead of her wedding to Coronation Street actor and X Factor winner, Shayne Ward. Sophie was spotted looking at dresses and flowers during the show and chatted to exhibitors about her wedding plans.
