When Wendy Owen and Rob Stamp decided to get married they wanted something that little bit different for their transport on their wedding day – and so it was after a visit to Bath that their decision was made to hire a motorcycle trike. The couple saw the trike, owned by Stewart and Frances Mackay of Razorcat Tours, and fell in love with its stunning good looks and quirky nature.

Razorcat Tours uses a German-made Boom motorcycle trike to conduct chauffeured tours of Bath and Wiltshire as well as rides for special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, proms and weddings.

For weddings the trike can be used in a variety of ways. It can ferry the groom and best man (or the more adventurous bride and bridesmaid) to the wedding venue or reception –– but it can also be used as a unique form of wedding entertainment for the guests. The company offers trike rides at the reception for the wedding guests – something that gives everyone a bit of fun and creates alternative photos for the wedding album. Wendy and Rob opted for both ideas. Rob and best man, Clive, travelled to the wedding reception on the trike and then Wendy and her daughter, Kelly, also used the trike to arrive at the reception. There they were greeted by all their family and friends who took turns having rides on the trike. In fact, the guests were having so much fun having rides on the trike that Rob booked it for an extra two hours.

Razorcat Tours can also provide Harley Davidson motorcycle outriders for a really noisy entrance – as well as the use of two trikes for a very spectacular arrival. The company is based near Bath but has done weddings all over the UK.

Rob said: “We saw you and your wonderful trike in Bath some time ago and decided then that we would return and arrange a trip with you. A while after that we made the decision to get married and Wendy, in her wisdom, arranged for you to ferry us around on our big day. We were a little worried about the weather but on the day the sun shone and you delivered, first myself and my best man to The Bell, and then Wendy and her daughter to smiles and cheers from our guests. In fact the trike was so successful that we arranged two extra hours so that our friends and families could all have a chance to experience this fantastic machine. It just remains for us to say a great big thank you for making our day so special.”
